Partners wanted: Skillshare on Subvertising to counter right-wing extremism and fake news

Subvertising and „communication guerrilla“ tactics offer a rich repertoire of forms of action for engaging politically with right-wing extremism in Europe. At the same time, right-wing extremists utilize these very techniques to gain tration in the me-dia. For this reason, we aim to launch a Europe-wide skill-share project focused on using communication guerrilla tactics to counter right-wing extremism. And we are looking for partners for that.

Skillshare?
We are seeking partner organizations that are active in the fields of subvertising and are willing to share their knowledge. We are looking for initiatives that wish to network and undergo training across Europe regarding creative protest and resistance against right-wing extremism and that seek to build the internal capacity within their own organizations to use these forms of actions themselfes.

What role do communication guerrilla tactics and subvertising play in our daily political lives? What strategies and tactics are employed by right-wing extremists? How do we counter them? How do these dynamics impact civil society and the media? Which forms of action do we employ against it and why?

EU Funding?
We aim to explore these questions through a Europe-wide networking initiative. To this end, we intend to apply for funding through the EU’s Erasmus+ program.
